FOOD AND FIBRE PRODUCTION (FARMS)
This is a teacher resource containing a sequence of activities for investigating the production of food and fibre in Australia’s past. It contains material to assist planning, implementing and assessing a study of past methods of food and fibre production in Australia including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Peoples’ ways of living with country, and the methods of primary production adopted by early Europeans. WILD BACKYARDS
This an online series of three short digital stories produced by the Queensland Museum entitled 'Wild backyards' in which experts explain how they made backyards more attractive to native wildlife. Links to Brisbane, Roma and Innisfail provide information on three different types of backyard. Each digital story includes a series of still-picture slides and audio commentary, as well as links to further information on native wildlife. A transcript of the stories with accompanying photographs is available for printing.
